How to delete your account

You can delete your SapMap account and associated personal data from the app or web app without contacting support.

In the SapMap mobile app: open More → Delete Account, then confirm. On the web app: open Settings → Delete Account, then confirm.

If you cannot sign in, email us from the address on your SapMap account with “Account deletion request” in the subject line.

What we delete

When we process your request, we delete or permanently anonymize:

• Your account profile (name, email, hashed password, preferences).
• Your memberships, invites you created, and personal notification subscriptions.
• Operations you solely own, including sugar bushes, seasons, collections, boils, and related operation data, when no other members remain.

What we may retain

We may retain limited information only as needed to meet legal, security, or billing obligations:

• Billing or payment records held by our payment processor (Stripe) where required for tax, accounting, or fraud prevention.
• Aggregated or anonymized analytics that no longer identify you.
• Records needed to resolve disputes or comply with law (kept only as long as required).

Timing

We aim to confirm and complete deletion requests within 30 days. If you are the only admin of an operation with other members, we may ask you to transfer admin rights or confirm how shared operation data should be handled before finishing deletion.
